As any stereo camera system relies on a fixed baseline to maintain it’s calibration, we designed and ordered these enclosures before the first PCBs shipped from Taiwan.

This enclosure was robust, cheap, and well suited to work around the lab. Still, as soon as we tried taking them into the field, it became clear that we would need a generation of enclosures would have to offer more protection if we wanted to operate in industrial environments. 

Design Requirements:

• Create an enclosure to stiffen and protect a mono-board stereo computer vision camera

• Keep heat away from sensitive components
